I know it’s a little way past the gift giving season but I thought I’d share this kooky toy I found whilst out holiday shopping. I found the kit at a Big Lots (discount store) in Colorado. I love the items you retrieve from the ‘cadaver’: dog bones, donuts (?),  various organs. Gives new meaning to ‘playing doctor‘ because it’s way more lucrative for your kid, everyone knows surgeons make more.

I am headed to Colorado next week to visit my family for the holiday season.  Sure I am excited to see my family but what I am even more excited about is visiting the half dozen Wal-Mart’s that line the valley. I am finally going to capture some People of Wal-Mart. Granted the valley I grew up in isn’t as low-class as one found in an Alabama suburb but I am still hoping I can snap a pic or two worthy of my favorite website!

Ain’t that the truth!!!

I’ve recently moved to a new neighborhood in Brooklyn. I am loving it!~ Williamsburg tends to be a bit more creative and eclectic and I have been taking all sorts of pics of the wacky art I pass each day. Case in point, this ATM Art I spotted on Metropolitan avenue the other day.  I think it’ great! I wish all ATM’s were given an artistic face lift, then I wouldn’t feel so ripped off when they charge me to take money out!

My new favorite blog is People of WalMart.We’ve all seen these folks draggin ass around WalMart. The cross dressing homeless, the camel toe shorts, the spandex sporting obese, they’re all here for your enjoyment.  No need to drive to WalMart for some prime people watching, POW brings the people watching to you.

Oy vey! Throw a designer label on it and people will wear anything. Opening Ceremony’s new Where the Wild Things Are collection, created in collaboration with director Spike Jonze is just plain silly! Listen, I loved the book as a child too, but who wants to see a grown man out in a club dressed as a big furry monster? Spike Jonze get over yourself. Even a clueless hipster can see through this shameless promotional gimmick. Fair warning to any of you who are unfortunate enough to cross my path whilst wearing one of these ridiculous outfits; I will punch you in the face.

Walking in Murray Hill (NYC neighborhood) the other day, I stumbled along a happy surprise.

In the middle of the crosswalk lay this little fella. I thought he was kind of cute so I took a photo. The little robot is permanently affixed to the cement some kind of tape or something. That’s why I love NYC, you never know, where you will find your next happy surprise.
